Kate wasn’t exactly packing. She had no need to really take anything with her; she would most likely be bringing more stuff back to Fandom than she was going to take to Kansas.
Kansas. Overland Park. Home. Where Leto was coming with her.
...Yeah.
She went through her things, absent-mindedly seeing whether there was anything she would need on the trip. It didn’t seem like there was, but at least it gave her something to do, other than thinking about how much trouble could come out of taking someone from Fandom to see her family. It was probably going to be fine, anyway. She trusted Leto to be convincing enough as a normal person.
She put on some music to drown out any doubts she had.
