A Room at the Arms Hotel, Saturday Morning
Dorian Owens was a pretty resourceful and brave little boy. So, when he couldn't locate his parents at the big building he'd found them last time, and he heard someone mention an awful lot of people would be at the hotel this morning, he set on his way across town
Lots of bright persuasive smiles, a rickshaw ride, and a helpful hotel employee later he found himself at a door behind which he was supposed to find his parents. So, he knocked. Enthusiastically.
Inside the room, in bed, it made Kate frown lightly. "Did you order room service breakfast or something?" she mumbled, still half asleep.
[ooc: For the two pale dudes, and masses of SP!]

That...wasn't right at all. Bod would soon find out.

She was pretty protective of this morning, okay?

"Mum!" And that was followed by a knock. "Dad!" And another knock. "Lemme iiiiiiiiin!"
no subject
Then she blinked a couple of times.
"Is that –– ?"
And then she was scrambling out of bed for some clothes because she was pretty sure she knew who that was.

"That sounds like Dorian," he said, sounding pleased about that. "He's back."

No one was going to hurt this time around.
She called out towards the door, "Just a sec, kid!"
no subject
Bod was wrapping the blanket around himself since Kate had his shirt but he'd wrangled himself into his pants at least.
"A sec's overrrrrrrrrr!" Dorian told her because he was smart!
no subject
And then Dorian could stop being patient because she made her way to the door and opened it with a grin at him. "Okay you can stop waiting now."

He hugged her again and then peered up at her.
"Daddy here?"

Bod was already moving towards the door, wrapped in the blanket and smiling as well.
"And then we can have breffast!"
Still Kate's child, yes.

"Room service breakfast?"
no subject
"I think so," he said, nodding and cradling Dorian close to his chest now. "There should probably be sweets involved."
"Doughnuts!" Dorian crowed. "Cake doughnuts!"

Sometimes, he just said things to see if he'd get them. He bounced around in Bod's arms and hugged his tiny arms around his neck.
"You look happier than last time, Daddy!"
no subject
She ordered coffee, bacon, donuts, muffins, and yes, maple syrup. Breakfast of champions, really.
no subject
"Of course," Bod said, smiling softly as well.
"It's not nap time till later so yay!"

Man, why didn't that sound less likely to her?
"Wow. What a dumb thing to do."
no subject
And left the Cheeto there.
