OOC: Infopost
Apparently it's time to share some information. Here goes...
Kate Gregson
– Is 15 years old; her birthday is October 1st.
– Is from Overland Park, Kansas (and the TV show United States of Tara, from after the end of season 1, to be exact).
– Is 5’7” and slim.
– Has brown eyes and blonde hair.
– Has a random fashion sense, somewhere along the lines of punk/scene mixed with very plain/“normal” clothes.
– Has a very standard family: mom, dad, and a 14-year-old brother called Marshall, all of whom she’s quite close to, despite random bursts of brat-like behaviour.
– Has a higher-than-average tolerance for weirdness because her mother Tara has DID (dissociative identity disorder, formerly known as multiple personality disorder): Kate has spent a large part of her life dealing with the fact that when her mother is stressed out, she transitions into being someone else.
– Knows about three of her mother’s alters (as alternative personalities are referred to in her canon): T, who is a skanky teenager (and Kate’s friend) and likes going to the mall and maxing out Tara’s credit cards; Buck, who is a butch male biker and likes going to the gun range; and Alice, who is a chirpy ’50s housewife and likes staying at home and baking. There is a fourth alter – animalistic, childlike Gimme – who Kate doesn’t know about.
– At least in the beginning isn’t going to talk about her mother’s condition at school, but there is a possibility that she will become more open about it after she realizes that what is considered odd back in Kansas may not seem nearly as odd at FH.
– Had a boyfriend (well, not so much a boyfriend as the twenty-something restaurant manager who was her boss that she was in a sexual relationship with) turn stalkerish on her just prior to coming to Fandom. It’s unlikely that she will be bringing this up in any casual conversations, although she will probably talk about working at the Barnabeez restaurant and how glad she is she’s not working there anymore.
– Is smart, but it doesn’t stop her from acting really immaturely at times: after all, she’s only 15.
– Is a bit shy at first, but it doesn’t take her too long to get to know people. Canon seems to suggest she didn’t have massive amounts of friends at her old school, which is probably due to both her own ”strange” ways (clothing etc) and to a lot of the other kids knowing about her mother’s condition. Kate is not a loner by any means.
– Is affectionate, which means lots of hugs and stuff like that. And sex.
The mun
– Answers to Corazon (or Corrie) on the interwebs and to Johanna in the real world.
– Is 21.
– Is trapped in the EET even though she doesn’t consider her country to actually be a part of Eastern Europe (since Northern Europe doesn’t have its own timezone, she’ll just have to deal with it).
– Is currently on summer break from university, so her availability is all over the place and will remain so until late August.
– Has several ways of being contacted: the email address vanillajello [at] wippies.fi, the AIM screenname justonepersona, and also the Twitter handle QueenCorazon. She’s pretty contactable.
– Is also omg shiny and NEW to Fandom High.
