While Fandom sunk deeper into madness, strange things were afoot on another island too. Kate had snuck out of bed a bit earlier than necessary, and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

... It was strange if you knew her.

She had the radio on at low volume, and was dancing around a bit in her well-worn Hola Gato pajamas as she made pancakes to be served with syrup. There was already some crispy bacon waiting on the counter, and an assortment of fruit. And Donkey Balls, because there was nothing like making your boyfriend blush over suggestively named confectionaries at breakfast. Especially after you'd already tormented him with them at the store the day before.

Kate was evil. But she was also making breakfast, so she supposed that evened itself out.

"Kate, stop that," he said and laughed. "I am almost positive you know exactly what I mean."

"Well of course I do," she laughed, "but it's not nearly as fun to know it as it is to try and get you to say it."

"Naked pictures, all right?" Bod said quickly. "Those kind. If you make me repeat it, I'll dump us both out of this hammock."

Kate couldn't help laughing some more at how quickly he said that. "Okay, naked pictures," she nodded, still snickering. "Tasteful or crude?

"It doesn't matter," he said because there was no way to answer that one. "Whichever you'd prefer."

"Well, I'll just make sure to make them hot, then," she decided. "Totally spankbank worthy."

Oh sure Kate, confuse the boy with your slang, why don't you.

And he was confused, oh yes.

"...I don't know what that means."

"Oh, that's just all the stuff in your head that you use to get yourself off."

Wasn't it nice that she was so helpful?

She was incredibly helpful and Bod laughed, giving his head a shake. "You think I have a lot of stuff in there?"

Kate snorted. "As someone who's spent a good chunk of the last year and a half helping you put stuff in there? Yeah, I'm pretty sure you do."

"There were four months that we weren't together!" Bod pointed out, laughing. "I could have forgotten some things."

"Yeah, except you've already told me you didn't," Kate pointed out. Continuing on with being helpful. "You told me you used to jack off to old pictures of me, remember?"

"No." Oh yes, of course he did. "That was me? I don't think it was me."

"No, that was you," she nodded. "That was definitely you."

"Well." Bod laughed and felt his cheeks get warm again. "Perhaps it was, yes."

"It totally was. I can tell from how I remember it warming my heart in a really kinky way." She nodded again. "So, I know my pictures will just be adding to all the material you already have."

"Warming your heart in a really kinky way," Bod repeated and laughed again. "Well, at least it was a good thing."

"I like hearing that you think about me," she shrugged. "Or, I liked hearing that you thought of me, and right now I'm liking hearing that you'll be missing me sexually."

"I'll be missing you in all sorts of ways and yes, that is one of them," he confirmed. "I will miss you that way."

"Which is why you won't mind being locked up with me when you visit," Kate concluded, circling back to earlier. "Because you won't have to miss me then."

[therewaslife]

"All right, you've made your point," Bod laughed, shaking his head. "I won't mind being locked up with you. I think I'll be begging for it even. I'll miss you."

"You will miss me," she sighed, nuzzling his shoulder. "You will miss me lots and lots and you'll pine for me when it's late and you're all alone with nothing but your hand for company."

"I will miss you very much and I will think about you all the time," Bod confirmed with a laugh. "And I think the same can be said for you. You'll think of me."

"I will," Kate admitted, not that it was much of a secret. "I'll miss you and think of you and pester you for suggestive pictures."

"I will do my best to provide," he said, moving to rest his lips against her hair and sighing. "Whenever and however I can."
