Overland Park, KS, Saturday Fandom Time

As requested/ordered, Kate had gone and gotten her face checked out by a doctor yesterday, and then spent the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing. Today was turning out to be much the same, except her face was sightly less sore to the touch, and she was waiting for Bod to show up after his workshift.

And while she was doing that, she was reading up on all things Osaka and Japan on the internet, and trying to learn useful phrases in Japanese. It was a quiet day in the Craine – Gregson – Kowalski household. Charmaine and Neil were downstairs, presumably reading yet another one of the dozen baby books he'd bought after the false labor fiasco. Who'd have tought he'd be the responsible one?

It was funny to think so with a still-bruised face, but maybe things were starting to look up a little bit.

Kate chuckled a bit. "Mm. I'm glad you're here. I know I already said that but it's still true. We should... take advantage of this and nap. 'Cause you want me to rest so bad."

"I want you to rest and continue to heal," he said, eyes already shut while he let her warmth relax him. "I think a nap could help with that, though."

"Naps are wondrous things," Kate told him solemnly, and yawned a bit. "And afterwards, we can discuss you staying until Monday 'cause that's our anniversary and we need to do shit."

Bod chuckled near her ear and gave her a squeeze. "We'll do that. We'll nap and then you can try to convince me to stay till Monday. I have a feeling it won't be very hard."

"No, I don't think it will," Kate agreed, a little smugly even as she relaxed more against him. "Some other things might be, though. Think on that while you slumber."

"You're an awful, evil person," he mumbled, shaking his head. "You're so mean."

"I am beautiful and amazing and awesome," Kate retorted. "And you love me. Now sleep."

[therewaslife]

"Evil," he said, sighing and settling down. "But, I do love you."

And he let that be the last thing he said before he worked on dozing off for a little while.
