Room 324, Early Friday Evening

It hadn't been the best morning Kate had ever had. It hadn't been the worst either, though, and she knew that. Not that she'd admit it, but it had felt good to talk, if even just a little bit.

But it had still left her feeling distinctly uncomfortable.

There were two people she usually went to when she felt like this. The first one she'd tried to get a hold of straight after leaving Jack's room. It had taken her a while, but she'd found him.

... Which had then meant bitching to a desert mouse about stupid fucking transformations taking place at stupid fucking times before letting him go off on his merry way again.

And the other person she usually went to? Mitchell. Yeah.

So Kate had just taken a long, long walk through town. And now she was back in her room, sprawled on her bed with an issue of Cosmopolitan, with music on for company, a little louder than usual. So not thinking about next week, and especially not about any Monday classes.

[ooc: Door is closed, post is open, music can be heard in the hallway but shouldn’t quite be loud enough to upset the neighbours.]

"Last time I saw him, he saved me from a boa constrictor, so I'm kinda inclined to disagree," she replied, pushing herself up to sitting on her bed and setting the magazine aside. "But that's not the Warren you're talking about."

"Yeah, this would be the Warren who was all 'Bahamas, pfft, come hang out with me in LA.' Maybe we can save the one here before he starts down a path of complete, uh, dumbheadedness?" that's not a word, Bobby.

Kate couldn't help a little snicker at the non-word. "I think we should be able to guide him on the right path. LA didn't treat you well?"

"LA treated me like crap," Bobby confirmed. Frowning, he managed to drag himself up into a sitting position and rummaged through his duffel bag until he found a water bottle, which he promptly chugged. "It's full of crazy people. Crazy people with superpowers."

"But isn't that kinda like Fandom?" Kate had to wonder, not entirely seriously. "You really should've just come with us to the Bahamas."

Bobby had to laugh at that. "No freakin' kidding. Probably would've been warmer than LA even but I think the fact that Fandom's version of crazy is usually the mostly harmless kind would've made up for that."
