Outside MST3000 & Onwards, Wednesday Evening

Another fairly uneventful day at the movie theater had come to an end. The most Kate had really done was talk to her boyfriend and then jot down some plans for a party, but she thought that was plenty. At the end of the day, she said goodbye to her coworkers and locked everything up before slipping out through the back door.

She was smiling to herself as she circled her way to the front of the building.

"Fine, fine, I blushed," Bod chuckled, nodding. "Yes, I blushed and there was quite the good reason for it. I suppose you'd like to know?"

"Yes," she said, like it had been any kind of secret. "I would actually really, really like to know. Please."

"All right," he said and actually stopped walking since he didn't want to trip over his own two feet. "When we were...apart, I tried not to want you but that was ultimately futile. I wanted you. And so I..."

That blush was back and he looked down at his feet. "Oh my god, I cannot believe I'm about to admit this to you."

Kate stepped closer to him, crowding his personal space but still street-appropriate, hand still in his. "Well, you're still going to," she said, smirking.

"There were times I really missed you," Bod continued, still blushing and shaking his head. "And sometimes, those times translated into me wanting a bit of...relief?"

It wasn't a graphic word but he still blushed a deeper shade of red. "So, there were pictures in my phone that I used to...help. Of you. I used your pictures to help me...enjoy myself."

Kate snickered and looked somehow vaguely pleased as she reached up to cup one of his blushing cheeks with her free hand. "So you jerked off to photos of me?"

She did not have a problem with slightly more graphic terms, no.

"Yes," he said, barely able to get the word out. His cheeks were still red and warm. "Yes, I did."

"Oh, Bod," Kate said, stroking his cheek with her fingertips, "that can't have been too smart, emotionally."

She was teasing.

"I wasn't really thinking of that at the time," he admitted, shrugging. "If it was all I could have, I was going to take it."

"I was just thinking about the times you slipped into my fantasies, uninvited," Kate shared idly, although it may have been a rather fake kind of idle. "It was always good, but then a bit depressing afterwards."

"Well, yes, that did happen at times," Bod admitted, nodding, "but I couldn't help myself. I just...couldn't help myself."

"Because you looove me," Kate singsonged, quietly. "And you waaant me."

[therewaslife]

"Yes," he said and laughed, "and yes. I love you and I want you. I always loved you and wanted you. I couldn't help myself."

"Stupid boy," she murmured, teasing, as she reached up for a quick kiss. "Dummy."

"Why are you calling me names?" he asked, smiling after she'd kissed him. "I thought you'd like that sort of thing."

"I do, it benefits me," Kate replied. "I can still think it's dumb."

And she didn't even really think that.

"And why is it dumb?" Bod wondered, laughing. "I don't think it's dumb. It made me happy at the time."

"Because you couldn't helping wanting something that wasn't yours to have," she pointed out. "Sounds a little dumb to me. Not taking into account that it worked out rather well for you in the end."

"Are you honestly telling me that you've never wanted something that you couldn't have?" Bod wondered, raising an eyebrow. "I thought everyone felt that way sometimes."

"That wasn't my point," Kate claimed. Then, before giving him time to reply, she added, "And don't ask what it was 'cause I already forgot. I only remember that you missed me that much."

"Of course I did," he said like it was obvious. "I missed you everyday. All the time."

"Aaall the time," Kate repeated, with extra emphasis, snagging another kiss. "A lot?"

"Yes, a lot," he said, laughing into that kiss. "Quite a lot. Very, very much."

"But you don't have to miss me anymore," she noted, slowly shaking her head so the tip of her nose rubbed against the tip of his. "So what do you do now?"

"What do you mean?" Bod asked curiously. "Do now? Right now, I'm walking you back to the dormitories."
