While Fandom sunk deeper into madness, strange things were afoot on another island too. Kate had snuck out of bed a bit earlier than necessary, and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

... It was strange if you knew her.

She had the radio on at low volume, and was dancing around a bit in her well-worn Hola Gato pajamas as she made pancakes to be served with syrup. There was already some crispy bacon waiting on the counter, and an assortment of fruit. And Donkey Balls, because there was nothing like making your boyfriend blush over suggestively named confectionaries at breakfast. Especially after you'd already tormented him with them at the store the day before.

Kate was evil. But she was also making breakfast, so she supposed that evened itself out.

"Oh?" Bod asked, glancing down at her. "And how would you make me not care?"

"Oh, I have my ways," Kate smirked up at him. "I have my body. Which you probably won't have seen in person for a while when you come to visit..."

"Oh god, I hadn't thought of that," he said and groaned just thinking about it. "Will you send me pictures?"

"Pictures like what?" she wondered, innocently. Or not. "Of my smiling face?"

"Amongst other things," Bod said, wondering if she'd make him be specific. He figured she would. "I've sent you pictures of myself before."

"You have," Kate replied agreeably. "Like the ones you sent me when I was feeling shitty about having been a vampire. Those kinds of pictures?"

[Aww, mine too!]

"Yes, those are good ones too," Bod said, laughing. "Honestly, I'd enjoy any pictures you'd like to send to me of you."

"But those are not the kind you were originally hoping for?" Kate guessed because yes, she was going to try and get specifics. "Are they?"

"...no," he said and felt his cheeks heat up. "No, those weren't the ones I was hoping for."

[vanillajello]

"And...?" she prompted. "What were you hoping for? I can't fulfill your wishes if you don't tell me."

[therewaslife]

"Pictures..." He trailed off and coughed a little. "...of you."

[vanillajello]

"And the kind I just talked about, those weren't pictures of me?" Oh, poor Bod. "I thought they were."

[therewaslife]

"No no no, they were," Bod said hurriedly, blushing and stammering. "I would just like pictures where you show more of yourself."

"Like my charming wit?" Kate asked. "I don't know if I can convey that in a picture..."

[therewaslife]

"Kate, stop that," he said and laughed. "I am almost positive you know exactly what I mean."

"Well of course I do," she laughed, "but it's not nearly as fun to know it as it is to try and get you to say it."

Duh.

"Naked pictures, all right?" Bod said quickly. "Those kind. If you make me repeat it, I'll dump us both out of this hammock."

Kate couldn't help laughing some more at how quickly he said that. "Okay, naked pictures," she nodded, still snickering. "Tasteful or crude?

"It doesn't matter," he said because there was no way to answer that one. "Whichever you'd prefer."

"Well, I'll just make sure to make them hot, then," she decided. "Totally spankbank worthy."

Oh sure Kate, confuse the boy with your slang, why don't you.

And he was confused, oh yes.

"...I don't know what that means."

[vanillajello]

"Oh, that's just all the stuff in your head that you use to get yourself off."

Wasn't it nice that she was so helpful?

She was incredibly helpful and Bod laughed, giving his head a shake. "You think I have a lot of stuff in there?"

He...did.

Kate snorted. "As someone who's spent a good chunk of the last year and a half helping you put stuff in there? Yeah, I'm pretty sure you do."

"There were four months that we weren't together!" Bod pointed out, laughing. "I could have forgotten some things."
