"Woah, what's with the bouncing, princess?" Charmaine asked, looking up from her work on some new tiaras, as Kate came down the stairs seemingly exuding far more energy than she'd exhibited going up them some time earlier.

"Oh, nothing," Kate replied, mock coyly. The grinning probably ruined the effect, but she cared not. "Hey, Mom's still coming to pick you up for that doctor thing?"

"Unless she's turned into someone else, yes," her aunt replied. "Why?"

Yeah, Kate was still grinning. "No reason." Again, it wasn't really believable. She bounced her way to the kitchen.

Charmaine shook her head and went back to her glue and sequins. "Whatever you say, Katie."

Kate probably would've argued against that, because she thought she probably looked a mess and he looked just fine, and that was just unfair. She probably wouldn't have been sure unfair to who, but still. Unfair.

But she was in no shape to argue. "That was..." She swallowed, and licked her lips. "Amazing."

And not evil at all.

"Good," he said and kissed her forehead. "Should we go into our room so you can have a rest now?"

"Yes," she nodded with a dazed but satisfied smile. "And then, when I get my strength back, I will give you all the attention you could possibly want."

"There's no rush," Bod said, crouching down to pick up her skirt and underwear before forgetting. Leaving those outside and having them be discovered would be...telling.

He opened the door to her room and gestured her inside. "Let's go, then."

Kate strutted past him all smugly, despite her wobbly legs, but still found herself tugging on the hem of her tiny shirt to cover some more of herself up. It was weird not to be wearing anything but a shirt, okay?

"I made our bed while I was waiting," she told him, gesturing at the soafabed that was, indeed, all laid out and made and ready.

"I see," Bod said, not finding anything weird at all by her not having anything but a tiny shirt on. He liked it.

Once they were inside, he closed the door and tossed her skirt and underwear aside. "It looks very comfortable. Are you going to lay down?"

There was an easy way to answer that: she flopped down onto the bed, on her back.

"Yes."

"All right," he said, snickering quietly. "Did you want a pair of shorts or a blanket or some kind?"

[vanillajello]

"Shorts," she replied, gesturing at the dresser with an uncoordinated arm. "Second drawer."

[therewaslife]

Bod nodded and retrieved a pair of shorts for her. He climbed on the bed beside her and handed her the shorts before settling down on his side next to her.

Very very lazily, Kate wiggled her way into the shorts, then rolled onto her side, facing him. "There. I'm decent."

"You are," he said, smiling at her and laughing. "You're decent and you look spent."

"Your fault," she murmured. "I was bouncing all over the place before you came. All your fault."

[therewaslife]

"Well, I apologize for that," he said even if he really didn't. "Perhaps you just need some rest so you can be bouncy again in a bit."

[vanillajello]

"You just want me to be bouncy in your general vicinity," Kate replied. Somehow, it didn't sound like much of an accusation. "Because it's hot. Or something."

[therewaslife]

"That's not true," Bod said, shaking his head. "I want you to be bouncy because it means you're happy and that's my favorite thing to see."

[vanillajello]

"No, you just want me to bounce because it makes my tits jiggle," she argued, not even remotely serious. "Not that I have a lot to jiggle, but you like it."

[therewaslife]

"Yes, I do like it but that's not the only reason I like when you're bouncy," Bod said, shaking his head. "Go to sleep, Cuddle Bunny. You're starting to sound slightly silly."

"But you like it when I'm silly," Kate replied, even as she shifted closer to him, to get all wrapped up and close. "I bet you do."

[therewaslife]

"I love your everything," he clarified, tangling his legs up with hers and bringing her closer to his chest and body. "So there."

[vanillajello]

"So there," Kate repeated, amused. She sighed, closing her eyes and getting comfortable. "Fine. You win, Magic Fingers. English Muffin."

"I'll be here when you wake up," he promised, dropping a kiss against the top of her head. "Sleep well."

"Thank you."

Kate figured she really didn't need to say anything more. She just wanted to breath in his familiar scent and doze in his arms for a while. She'd already missed that all too much.

Bod wasn't that tired but having her so close again was enough to get him to close his eyes and doze lightly. Being wrapped up with her so was so familiar and so missed.

He smiled and pulled a light blanket over the both of them, keeping an ear out for any sudden noises so they wouldn't get caught again. For now though, he was just going to revel in this.
