Far, far away from any and all dungeon drama, two people were about to celebrate having managed to stay together for two whole years. (Well, two years plus the one half they'd managed the first time around.) Naturally, it warranted portaling out of Kansas for a trip. Kate had planned this one, and since Kate loved to pick places with significance sometimes, she'd picked Romania, since it was where one of Bod's childhood pseudo-parents had come from. And because it was in Europe and the internet had made it seem like there was enough to see in Bucharest on a trip lasting a few days.

Assuming they'd actually come out of their superior double room at the Marshal Garden Hotel. Which they'd just walked into for the first time.

"... Oh my God, I love it."

There were bright colors and big flower motifs on the carpet. Of course she loved it.

"Mmm hmmm." She smirked at him just a little bit, rubbing his shoulders. "You are fairly flexible, this is true."

"You sure do seem to enjoy sitting on someone you're bored with," Bod remarked with a light smile. "Are you sure I'm the one you're bored with?"

"Not a hundred percent." Not one percent. Not at all. She brought one hand up to his neck, dragging her fingertips against the skin there. "No."

"I didn't think so," he sighed, tilting his head back and exposing more of his neck. "I didn't think so at all."

That just meant she had to bring her other hand up too. More fingertips to draw light shapes against his skin.

"I'm so surprised."

"You weren't very convincing," he told her with a chuckle. "It was easy to see through your obvious lie."

"Well I wasn't trying to be very convincing."

She ducked her head again to replace one set of fingers with her mouth, and light kisses.

"But, you were quite loyal to your mission for awhile," Bod pointed out, sighing at that touch. "You stuck with your argument for a nice long bit. I was almost convinced."

No, he hadn't been.

"Riiight," she drawled, against his neck because she was nice like that. Also, she licked one of the spots she'd just kissed. "And you're not just saying that."

"Do I ever just say anything?" Bod wondered, reaching to slide his fingers up and down her back.

Kate sighed. It was a good sigh. "Not really," she admitted, with a few renewed kisses. "You usually have a reason."

"It's always strange when you don't argue with me," Bod said with a laugh. "I'm almost caught off guard when it doesn't happen."

"But that's good," Kate murmured, sounding amused. "I can still be unpredictable and surprise you. It keeps things fresh and means we won't have to go looking for tips on spicing up our relationship just yet."

"Oh, I don't know if we'll ever have to do something such as that," Bod told her with a shake of his head. "I think you and I are spicy enough without needing tips."

Kate smirked. "Well, that does sound pretty true to me. I'm not bored by us in any area of our shared life."

[therewaslife]

"Good, I'm glad to hear that," Bod said, reaching and pushing her hair back behind her ears. "I'm not bored either. Not at all."

Kate tilted her head into the touch. She doubted she'd ever stop wanting more. "Good. Because we can't break up with our little dog baby and everything."

Who was currently most likely freaking out about all the space ever in Tara and Max's backyard.

"Dog baby," he said, laughing at that. "He certainly does demand the attention of a child, doesn't he? Such a center of attention."

"So demanding," she replied with another mock serious nod. "I mean sometimes I feel like he's even taking some of my share of everyone's attention."

No she didn't. And even if she had, she would've been fine with it.

"I haven't heard you complain," Bod noted with a little smile. "And besides, a large portion of his attention comes from you!"

"Well that's true," Kate admitted, with a snicker. "But, even that attention should be going towards me! I'm very important to myself."

[therewaslife]

"And you're making little sense right now as well!" Bod said with a laugh. "But, I'm used to that."

[vanillajello]

"Hey, I am making perfect sense!"

Debatable.

"Don't be mean."

[therewaslife]

"I'm not being mean," Bod replied with a shake of his head, " and you know I'm not. I was being honest."

"Pah." That was an excellent argument, don't claim otherwise. She kissed his nose again. "Honesty."
