Room 324, Late Thursday Morning

"-- So then what? ...Oh, oh, like in that movie? You know. ...What do you mean, you don't? We watched it like three times in a row last spring when I had the-- Yes. That one. With the guy with the hair and the--"

Back in Overland Park, T was out, for some reason or other.

It meant that here in Fandom, Kate was sprawled on her bed with her phone clamped to her ear, getting updated on the stupid things morning television had to offer, and the things T would've liked to do later in the day if she wouldn't have been likely to be too lazy and too high to leave the house.

Kate was snickering a lot. "... Eww, T, that's disgusting."

There were worse ways to spend a morning.

"Yes. Well." Certainly not what Bod expected when he'd come to visit this morning. And that definitely wasn't a bad thing where he was standing.

"Nice."

... Unlike Kate's conversational skills at this very moment.

"Very."

Well, he wasn't doing any better.

"Yes."

Kate chuckled. "Nice enough to do again sometime?"

"Yes, definitely. If that's all right with you?" He didn't think she'd ask if she didn't want that but it was always better to make sure.

"No, it's not, now get the fuck off me and my bed," she deadpanned before showing him an amused smile. "'Course it's all right. More than all right."

"Then, yes again sometime," he said, nodding and laughing a bit. "We should."

"Definitely," she agreed, nodding. Smirking lightly. "And more, even, maybe. Someday."

"Someday," he agreed before slowly sliding off to one side so he could get his weight off her and get his feet on the ground. "I don't think I'd be against that."

"I'd call you a dumbass if you were," she decided cheerfully, shifting a bit because while she'd been comfortable, there was something to be said for the freedom of movement when there wasn't anyone lying on top of her. "I mean look at me. I'm awesome."

"And I'd hate for you to think of me as a dumbass," he said, shaking his head and standing or he'd end up staying in her bed for the rest of the day. Not a bad idea but...for another time.

"I do like looking at you though," he said, nodding. "So, I can keep doing that."

"I know you like that, you wrote it on my hand," she replied, pushing herself up to sitting on the bed and crossing her legs. "And I like being looked at, so that works out fabulously."

"Right," he said and chuckled. "I should get going, leave you to your day. It's been..."

Bod trailed off and laughed.

"Nice."

Understatement.

"Nice. Yeah."

Kate snickered. "Go before I pull you back in. I should probably call T back, anyway. See if she's still around, and whether she's developed any new delusions."

"I'll see you later," Bod said, nodding once more before he slipped out of her room and headed to his original destination.
