Room 324, Friday Evening

After everything that had happened over the last week, and what little had happened today, Kate was just so very glad to have a completely unrelated thing to focus on.

And right now, that thing was the thought of getting a new fake little sibling tomorrow. So, she'd been putting together a little welcome kit with some useful items. It felt a little dorky, but it was pretty fun, actually, doing that. And distracting, which was the important thing.

She'd even considered baking a batch of cookies, but then decided against it both because there'd be enough food at the welcome picnic, and she wasn't really feeling the idea of standing in the common room baking right now. She'd just offer to bake the kid something at a later date.

So now, Kate was just sprawled on her bed, making a refresher list of all the things a newbie to fair Fandom island should be told on their first day.

And she was eating chocolate. Chocolate was a good thing.

"I won't blind anyone," she said decisively, then smirked. "But I might mesmerize them."

"I didn't know you objected so much to my pale body," Bod teased, shaking his head. "Perhaps I'll just keep my clothes on around you."

"I don't object to it," Kate replied easily, sliding her hands slowly down his back. "I'm just a realist."

"And there is absolutely no way to prove who is right besides showing myself off to someone else," he said, leaning into her hands some.

Showing himself off to someone else was something he...didn't want to do at all.

That got her to open her eyes, only so she could really smirk at him.

"Because you'd so totally do that, I'm sure."

"Well, I didn't say I'd do it. I just said that would be the only full proof way to see which of us was right," he pointed out, making a face at that smirk.

"Don't make faces at me," she chided lightly, fragging her nails along his back through his shirt. "It's impolite."

[therewaslife]

"Are you really lecturing me about being polite?" Bod asked, pushing back into her hands again because that felt...that felt really good.

"Yes," Kate replied, pushing her nails into his shirt and his skin a little harder. "What of it?"

[LOL 'fragging' I CAN TYPE.]

"You don't think I'm polite enough?" Bod wondered, sighing and trying to press back against her hands even more.

[MAYBE SHE WAS KILLING BOD WITH A GRENADE. I WAS UNSURE.]

"You made faces at me," she reiterated, just keeping her hands still now, just pressing. "It was impolite."

"You deserved the faces," Bod retorted, nodding once. "I think I was justified in making faces at you for calling into question the level of my paleness."

Kate's hands crept lower. "Your level of paleness is high, and that's just a fact," she said. "And for the record, I like your blindingly white ass."

There was totally even a surprise squeeze to emphasize that.

Surprise, indeed. Bod couldn't stop the startled yet amused laugh from slipping out. He couldn't even get a witty retort out because of that.

"Did you just squeeze me?"

"And your white ass?" She had a fondness for those words right now, and she snickered as she said them. "Yes. I did."

In fact her hands were still kind of there.

"You're groping me," he said pleasantly amused by that. He couldn't help it, getting groped was enjoyable.

"You like that?" she asked, amused, and giving him another light squeeze. "You should. You're very gropable."

[therewaslife]

"I like that," he said, laughing again but really unable to hide the pleasure he was getting out of getting groped. "I'm gropable? Really?"

"Yes." Another, just to prove a point. "It goes well with that whole kissable, lickable, generally touchable thing you have going on."

[therewaslife]

"I think you might be biased," he said and laughed again, shifting back against her hands without realizing he'd done so.

"Doesn't matter," she said, her hands moving some, "because I'm not trying to present these as universal facts."

[therewaslife]

Bod sighed, not immediately answering just because he wanted to enjoy what he was feeling. "These are just facts for you, yes?"

"Yes," Kate nodded. "And since I'm the only one who gets to grope you, anyway, that's the only kind of fact that matters."

[therewaslife]

"You are the only one that gets to grope me," he said, laughing quietly. "I'm really quite happy about that."

Kate snickered. "Is it because I'm good at groping?" Well, she kind of was. And she was proving it right now, even. "I bet it is."
