Today, at least in the multiversal timezone Fandom was in, was Valentine's Day. And not only that, it had also been ten months to the day since a boy from England and a girl from Kansas had woken up together and decided they really rather wanted to go back to being boyfriend and girlfriend. Their first attempt at that had only lasted six months and change, so ten months was kind of a huge deal. So they were celebrating.

In Kansas.

Hey, at least it was in Topeka and not KCMO! Kate had never been, and it was actually turning out to be pretty okay. Or maybe that was the company. They had the hot tub suite booked for later at Senate Luxury Suites, but right now they were still at Gage Park, in the Reinisch Rose Garden. It was fall in Kansas, as evidenced by the leather jacket Kate had on over her dress, but since the garden over six thousand bushes of more than four hundred varieties of roses, some of them were still in bloom, and it was pretty enough for her.

She was all smiles, carrying her bag in one hand and holding one of Bod's with the other as they strolled along. "This pretty gorgeous for Kansas, don't you think?"

Kate snickered. "Well, that'd be incentive to travel," she noted, "because you'd probably be too embarrassed to come back."

"Probably," Bod agreed with a nod. "Let's just hope...that no one walks in on us. Getting caught cuddling you a few times was enough for me, I think."

"You and your delicate sensibilities," Kate teased, affectionately. "I don't even get why getting caught cuddling me in front of my family is such a big deal. It's adorable but I don't get it."

"Well, it's not a big deal to me but I do still remember the look on your father's face when he caught us awhile ago," Bod reminded her. "And you didn't seem too calm, cool and collected there either."

"I was surprised!" Kate laughed. "And there's been a lot of stuff ––" Like Zach. "–– since then. He doesn't want to break your arms anymore. He knows you.

"He wanted to break my arms previously?" Bod asked, wincing. "Well, I'm very glad he didn't. It would have hurt."

"I'm pretty sure I'm exaggerating." Comforting, wasn't it? "Point is, he doesn't hate you. I think he should be glad I have someone like you."

"I don't hate him either." Bod wasn't sure if he could hate anyone.

Well, maybe Zach.

"I really love your family, Kate. Quirks and all."

Kate gave him a wry smile. "Think it's a little past quirky," she said. "Fucked up is the term I'd use. But I know you know that."

He still got along with them.

"Unique," he countered with a little smile. "They're unique and the only sad thing is they'll never get to meet my parents."

"I know." She still held on to the belief that his parents would've loved Marshall. "I'm pretty sure that would've had the makings of a grand disaster but it's sad we won't get to see that."

"They'll just have to make due with me for their fill of Owenses," Bod said, smiling. "I hope I'm enough."

"You are more than enough," Kate assured him with a little smile. "Even if things are a little off-balance with all the Gregsons and Craines and Kowalskis that come your way. You are totally enough."

"As long as I have my favorite Gregson," he said, kissing her temple and sighing, "I'll be all right with absolutely anything."

"What if I changed my name, you wouldn't be all right anymore?" she wondered, teasing. "Not that I'm gonna, I'm just saying."

"You'd be my favorite no matter what your name might be," Bod amended with a little laugh.

"Good," Kate nodded, so clearly pleased with that. "That's how it's supposed to be. And I don't care what name you use, either. You're still my Muffin."

"And you're still my Cuddle Bunny," Bod said, sighing and staying close to her. "I love you, Kate. Love you so much."

"Love you too," Kate replied, and couldn't help marveling at how easy that had become to say. "Loved you after I had to dig pebbles out of your feet, and loved you when we did it at H&M, and still do."

"And my feet have since recovered and we've...done it many other places since then," he said, letting a blush come out at that. "Thank you for loving me."

"No problem," she chuckled. "Literally. No problem. You are easy to love."

"Flattery will get you anything you want," he murmured, smiling. "Anything."

Kate gave him her cutest possible smile.

"But I already have you."

Bod's grin widened and he reached around to embrace her again. "I meant anything from me but that's an excellent answer on its own too."

"Thank you, I do try," Kate murmured. "I don't need anything specific from you. It's cliché but it's enough that you're here."
