Six plus six was twelve, and twelve was the same as one, if you were talking about months first and then switched to years. The bottom line was, Kate and Bod had now been an item for a whole year in total. (There really was no need to talk about that four month gap between the first and second six month stretches. Because that was just a really fucking depressing topic all around.) And that was a huge fucking deal.

Enough of a huge fucking deal for it to be the first thing Kate become conscious of as she woke up this morning, all warm and tangled up with Bod, in their bed, in their room, just like they had been every night for the past week or so. That alone would've made her happy, but remembering the anniversary made her doubly so.

So, as much as it saddened her to do it, she tried slowly disentangling herself from her pale, pale boyfriend, so she'd be able to slip out of bed in her panda-print tunic. There was something she wanted to get from downstairs.

"I just love you," he said, eyes flicking up to hers. "Does that make me easy or just in love?"

Kate struck a few more coquettish poses. She'd been looking at far too many old school pin-up model pictures lately. It was showing. But she knew she looked cute doing it. Plus, she was barely wearing anything and like she'd already noted, he was easy.

She kicked the underwear aside. "You look great naked, which is totally a hint, but it's not enough for me to babble."

"It's a hint?" Bod raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "Maybe I won't take your hint since you're being mean."

In her own way, she was being mean. He thought so!

"What?" She didn't think so, so she put her hands on her hips and tried to look stern. While laughing. "How am I being mean now?"

"You're making me out to be someone who is completely enthralled by you being naked!"

Not that that was an incorrect observation, mind you.

"Well aren't you?" Kate asked, quite rightly. She smirked. "So, what you're saying is... that me being here, all naked, isn't just filling up your mind with the various things you'd like to do to me if only I came a little closer?"

"You should definitely come closer," Bod agreed, gesturing her forward with a hand. "Please?"

"That didn't really answer my question." And as it was, she pretended to stand her ground for a moment.

And then she moved closer. "But okay."

"I want you to be closer to me," Bod said, sighing quietly. "I want you. Doesn't that answer your question?"

"Yeah." She stopped in front of him and reached out to run a fingertip down his forehead, then down his nose. "I think it does."

"What are you doing?" he laughed, eyes closing at her touch. "Tracing a line down the center of me?"

"Yes," Kate decided, on a whim. Her finger passed his lips, brushed against his chin. "Excatly what I'm doing."

"And what do you think you'll find once you've completed your activity?" Bod wondered.

"Metaphorically? Your essence." Or something. The smirk she didn't care. After a light touch on his throat, she turned her hand so that her fingers pointed downward and she could press her palm against his chest and slide it down along his skin. "Physically? Cock."
