Hawi, Hawaii, Thursday Morning

While Fandom sunk deeper into madness, strange things were afoot on another island too. Kate had snuck out of bed a bit earlier than necessary, and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

... It was strange if you knew her.

She had the radio on at low volume, and was dancing around a bit in her well-worn Hola Gato pajamas as she made pancakes to be served with syrup. There was already some crispy bacon waiting on the counter, and an assortment of fruit. And Donkey Balls, because there was nothing like making your boyfriend blush over suggestively named confectionaries at breakfast. Especially after you'd already tormented him with them at the store the day before.

Kate was evil. But she was also making breakfast, so she supposed that evened itself out.

"Oh as if you'd do that," Kate snorted, taking a piece of chocolate for herself as well. "I've already waved the possibility of a cuddly shower at you. There's no way you would've stomp off anywhere, good breakfast or no good breakfast."

"You're far too confident in your cuddly shower offer," Bod noted, shaking his head. "What if I wanted to take a nap instead?"

"Why would you ever want a nap instead?" Kate countered. "You just had a good night's sleep, for one thing."

"I like naps," Bod responded with a laugh. "Perhaps I want to make sure I have enough energy for activities later on."

"Activities like what?" Oh like she was going to let him off that easy. "They better be pretty good to beat shower cuddling."

"Rock climbing," Bod deadpanned, trying to keep a straight face. "Much better than shower cuddling."

"Rock climbing?" Right. "I hope you realize you're preferring climbing rocks to the touch of your wet, naked girlfriend."

"Well." He swallowed and blinked. "I really like rocks."

"Reaaally?" Was that a hint of renewed evil in Kate's smirk just then? It seemed so. "More than you like soapy hands and perky breasts against your skin?"

"Stop that," Bod chided, trying to fight off a blush. "Yes, maybe I do like rocks more than that."

No no no no no no no no.

"More than getting to lather me up?" Kate pressed on. "Getting to touch me like that? More than getting a little carried away because when you're aleady naked it's easy to... play a little bit?"

It was mean to do this to him when he was only wearing a pair of thin boxers. He shifted a bit and took a drink of his orange juice.

"I have no idea what you mean," he said, trying to remain strong. "I don't get carried away."

"But I do," Kate replied easily. "And when I do, you do too. I've totally had you pinned to the wall, chokin on air 'cause I was jerking you off, so don't tell me rocks are better than that."

And she thought this was the best time to do this to him.

"You're doing this on purpose," Bod moaned, shifting again and kind of wishing he'd kept his pants on now. "You're being evil on purpose."

"You said you were more interested in rock climbing." So, Kate saw no reason to not be evil. Or not to admit that that was exactly what she was being. "So I'm telling you about the benefits of getting dirty while getting clean. You can't tell me you've never thought about, like, fingering me in the shower, or maybe even doing me. Two kinds of wetness for the price of one!"

Evil, evil, evil.

Yes, that was evil and Bod glared at her though it didn't really have any heat behind it. He was just wondering if she was trying to make him squirm around and try to hide things he couldn't really hide.

"We've done things in the shower," Bod reminded her. "I've thought about it but I've also done it. So, I'm content."

"I highly doubt that," Kate informed him. "I should just believe you're just perfectly satisfied with having done stuff once or twice? No more? Not even tiny bit of oral action or anything?"

"I...have no comment," he said, taking the easy way out so he could try and get himself under control.

"I see," Kate replied, raising an eyebrow, trying to contain her smirk but not really doing a good job of it. She pushed up from her chair. "Well, I guess that's that, then."

"What's what?" Bod asked, not quite following too well. "That's breakfast?"

"That's that for shower cuddles," Kate said as she moved closer to him, only to bend down and lightly scratch the back of his neck as she licked his earlobe, with just a brief flick of the tip of her tongue. "The rocks don't love you like I do, though."

Without giving him much in the way of time to recover or reply, she slipped back into the cottage.

Bod shivered and sighed when she did that only to be left blinking and staring at the remainder of their breakfast while she went inside. He didn't think she'd taken actual offense but there was always going to be the niggle of concern.

He was torn between clearing their plates and going to find her. He chose going to find her and hoped it was the right choice. Of course, he had no idea where she'd gone.

Kate had gone back to the kitchen, and was currently standing with her back to the door in front of the fridge, propping the door open with one hand so she could peer inside.

The radio was still on, and judging from the way she was swaying her hips in time to music, it was probably safe to say she wasn't feeling any particular animosity toward anything at all.

"What are you doing?" Bod asked curiously, tilting his head. "You left."

"I," she informed him with a quick, decidedly mock haughty glance over her shoulder, "am trying to choose a juice I wanna drink."
