Hawi, Hawaii, Thursday Morning

While Fandom sunk deeper into madness, strange things were afoot on another island too. Kate had snuck out of bed a bit earlier than necessary, and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

... It was strange if you knew her.

She had the radio on at low volume, and was dancing around a bit in her well-worn Hola Gato pajamas as she made pancakes to be served with syrup. There was already some crispy bacon waiting on the counter, and an assortment of fruit. And Donkey Balls, because there was nothing like making your boyfriend blush over suggestively named confectionaries at breakfast. Especially after you'd already tormented him with them at the store the day before.

Kate was evil. But she was also making breakfast, so she supposed that evened itself out.

"That much I'm sure of," Kate replied wryly. "The crazy, I mean. There's just no other way."

"It works though," Bod said, finishing the pancakes on his plate and washing them down with some orange juice. "If it wasn't crazy, I don't know how things would be. I think the crazy is just...a part of making it work."

Kate gave that a lopsided smile. "Well, anything else would just be too damn normal." She picked up the bag of chocolate from the tray and held it out for him. "Donkey Balls?"

Bod hadn't been expecting that and promptly choked on the mouthful of orange juice he had. She was evil enough to have done that purposefully and while he coughed, he just made faces at her.

And Kate laughed. Evil, yes. "You okay there, Bod?"

"I'm just fine," he said, rubbing his chest and finally reaching for some of the chocolate. "You did that on purpose, I know you, and if you try to deny it, I'm going to throw bacon at you."

"I did not make you choke on purpose!" Kate exclaimed, still snickering. "Come on, I expected you to swallow before freaking out."

"You still expected me to freak out!" Bod accused with a laugh. "That's mean!"

"It's not my fault you're so easy to get a reaction from!" Kate laughed. "I mean how am I supposed to resist?"

[therewaslife]

"You're very mean to me," he said and shook his head before eating the chocolate. "You're just lucky that this breakfast is so good because it's preventing me from stomping away in a huff."

He had no plans to do that.

"Oh as if you'd do that," Kate snorted, taking a piece of chocolate for herself as well. "I've already waved the possibility of a cuddly shower at you. There's no way you would've stomp off anywhere, good breakfast or no good breakfast."

"You're far too confident in your cuddly shower offer," Bod noted, shaking his head. "What if I wanted to take a nap instead?"

"Why would you ever want a nap instead?" Kate countered. "You just had a good night's sleep, for one thing."

"I like naps," Bod responded with a laugh. "Perhaps I want to make sure I have enough energy for activities later on."

"Activities like what?" Oh like she was going to let him off that easy. "They better be pretty good to beat shower cuddling."

"Rock climbing," Bod deadpanned, trying to keep a straight face. "Much better than shower cuddling."

"Rock climbing?" Right. "I hope you realize you're preferring climbing rocks to the touch of your wet, naked girlfriend."

"Well." He swallowed and blinked. "I really like rocks."

"Reaaally?" Was that a hint of renewed evil in Kate's smirk just then? It seemed so. "More than you like soapy hands and perky breasts against your skin?"

"Stop that," Bod chided, trying to fight off a blush. "Yes, maybe I do like rocks more than that."

No no no no no no no no.

"More than getting to lather me up?" Kate pressed on. "Getting to touch me like that? More than getting a little carried away because when you're aleady naked it's easy to... play a little bit?"

It was mean to do this to him when he was only wearing a pair of thin boxers. He shifted a bit and took a drink of his orange juice.

"I have no idea what you mean," he said, trying to remain strong. "I don't get carried away."

"But I do," Kate replied easily. "And when I do, you do too. I've totally had you pinned to the wall, chokin on air 'cause I was jerking you off, so don't tell me rocks are better than that."

And she thought this was the best time to do this to him.

"You're doing this on purpose," Bod moaned, shifting again and kind of wishing he'd kept his pants on now. "You're being evil on purpose."

"You said you were more interested in rock climbing." So, Kate saw no reason to not be evil. Or not to admit that that was exactly what she was being. "So I'm telling you about the benefits of getting dirty while getting clean. You can't tell me you've never thought about, like, fingering me in the shower, or maybe even doing me. Two kinds of wetness for the price of one!"
