Kate had been grounded for two days now, and she didn't even know why she was going along with it. Could've just grabbed a portal to Fandom and faced the consequences once she had to come back. But maybe she was giving in to it just because she'd turn seventeen next Friday and after that she'd declare herself ungroundable for good.

Not that she was in any way okay with being grounded in the first place. Her parents were having a total emotional meltdown, so what did they do? They put her on lockdown so they could 'be in control'. It was supreme bullshit.

But at least it was the kind of supreme bullshit that gave her plenty of time to hang out with her little brother, when he wasn't too busy spending time with his new gay BFF. Or banging that random chick. Because that had apparently happened yesterday. Hadn't been too smooth, either, by the sound of it, and Kate wasn't surprised.

Just like she wasn't surprised he was being a little boring right now. )

[ooc: NFB, NFI, OOC-okay! Taken and tweaked from USoT S02E05 'Doin' Time'. It's not even Sunday here anymore, and much less morning, but it's been a long day.]

After the arrest and everything, yesterday had continued to be just as moodswingy a day as many of the others before it. On one hand, her video had gained more than 250,000 hits in a single day, and Lynda had invited her to the Crossroads art shindig this Friday. On the other, she and her brother had had to listen to their parents fighting for like two hours in the evening. That always made her feel like an orphan. It sucked.

As did having to leave Marshall alone with the mess she could escape, especially when it was going to be his sixteenth birthday tomorrow. But Kate was still insanely glad when she finally managed to convince her parents to unground her so she could come back to Fandom.

She flew back, her parents paid for the tickets. She was too late for her classes, and probably would've skipped them anyway, so once she made it into her room, she just dropped her bags on the floor and fell over onto her bed, burying her face in her pillows.

Home sweet home, or something.

[ooc: Door is cracked, post is open, girl is... a lot of things.]

Or, Occasionally My Canon Brings the Good Crack.

So, as those who've been keeping up with my posts last week know, Kate's taken up embodying KC artist Lynda P. Frazier's comic book heroine creation Princess Valhalla Hawkwind (as portrayed here in a drawing, for example), so far mostly by posing for a new painting.

The two have also made a music video for the character, and as of yesterday the video (in all its lulzy glory) is up on Youtube.

Now, what does this mean for you? Not much, if you don't want it to. However, canonically, the vid gets 252,642 hits within the first day. So, it's kind of going viral, and it wouldn't probably be that hard to stumble upon it without meaning to.

Which means your characters are free to see it and talk about it and show it to their friends or whatever. Kate's pretty proud of it, so it's no secret. And I'm gonna say the vid links back to the Lynda's PVH site, so that's fair game too.

Questions, comments, boggling? I can't even tell you how gleeful I am about getting to this point in canon.
